Nick J Profeta RIP

I am very sorry to pass on the information received from Ron Muzillo regarding the passing of Nick Profeta and here is a part of his obituary. Nicholas, 92, a resident of Paramus since 1981 and formerly of Garfield, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021. Before retiring, Nicholas worked for Polychrome Corporation as Vice President, Administration and Secretary of the company. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, in Paramus, NJ. Nicholas was an Army National Guard veteran who served our country proudly during the Korean War Era. Beloved husband of 69 years to Carmen (nee Patalano). Loving father of Barbara Maher and her husband Michael and Joseph Profeta and his wife Lynn. Treasured grandfather of Nicholas Profeta (Andrew), Jessica Curry (Connor), James Maher (Kellyn), Christopher Maher (fiancée Olivia), Sabrina Maher, and Brittany Profeta. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday December 17, 2021, at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church 234 N. Farview Avenue Paramus. Interment at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, NJ. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2022

I wish all my Polychrome friends a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2022. As of this writing I am in Tokyo and am worried about my relatives living in New York. Unlike in Tokyo right now where there are only a few infected by Corona, I hear there is a big wave of new variant spreading in the US> We see in TV news a big number of infected in Great Britain as well. I hope all of you are wearing mask and observing a good social distancing when you are out as this seems to be the big difference between Japan and elsewhee. I hope also we see a return of the happy corona-less time so that we can enjoy meeting each other again. Aurich am pretty sure lives in Hamburg,GER but it is impossible for to find him since 25 Jears. A friend of mine was shortly in Hamburg also checked in the yellow pages without any result. Polychrome Corporation Stock certificate

Doug Chu, Mr. Simon Chu's son purchased a specimen of the Polychrome Corporation Stock certificate issued when Polychrome was on the American Stock Exchange till the friendly take over by Dainippon Ink and Chemical, Inc . Just as many stock holders of the company I tendered my small shares to the brokerage when the take over bid was announced. And since the shares were usually held by brokerage firms I doubt there were many shereowners who actually saw the certificates. Doug says "I remember these certificates laying around our house when I was young- but as you say, eventually all stocks were held by brokerage firms and nobody had a real certificate. And when the company was finally bought over, i know my father and family turned in any old certificates they may have held. This is a model certificate issued by some printing company that designed and printed stock certs." I know there were occasions when an actual certificates were presented as present or awards but this is the first time I see the actual specimen. Thanks Doug!

Easter wish from Hal Pilcher

Hal Pilcher, an old Polychromer who went on to form his own business in Europe writes to me from time to time. He sends his Easter wish this time ​ I AM WISHING YOU A HAPPY EASTER especially I wish you to stay with good health, stay blessed through all this hard time. In this Corona I do stay disciplined with my own tuff rules on. Same time I lock my apartment; I do have KN95 mask on and nitril gloves on while I turn my key into the locker. There so many people here just ignorant, and because of them we do have the situation like now. A weak Gov. who are ruling weak made all this possible. British/ South-African corona mutation is more then tice more aggressive and babies, kids are spray and can be infect each one. A consequent distance of 2 meter/min. 6´´ KN95 mask or alternative FFP2 . As far as I concern the KN95 I prefer has more comfort using it and the fabric is also a mix, but has more dense. An old 3M with filter I had on my place for more then 30 years, never used but I had it. This mask I did wash and clean filter carefully in Feb. 2020 At that time I was the only one who wear a mask. But is not allowed on all places to use. For to inhale shaky ok because of false fabric for to exhale across the filter it is spreading you exhale to others. But it was a question of to be or not to be. Later on I imported all my mask with other items from China via Wish.com. Handwash with soap 4 or more times a day for at least 1 min. To spray my gloves with sanitizer first when coming home and door handle, keep letters or parcel 3 hours waiting before to open it. This is all I know to this time, and better to stay at home and be happy alone, as being outside people running around outside mask less and un " or ? I do know that people in Japan are very respectfully to each other and my car a TOYOTA Corolla is telling me a lot of good things about Japan quality. I found new good friends about 2 years ago. Managing of a Irish pub in Vienna the respect me highly when I just drinking tea with milk or Amaligan goffee, means a coffee which taste after milk, but hot ! And without sugar ! I can lol with water drinking better as others when drinking al c o hol. Speaking English to Irish, British, Canadians and US Americans makes me more happy as to speak German to drunken Bolds. I still do waer my spranglespin next to my golden PC pin. The sprangled one I weared on my Jacket at my time I served for PC and the USA when nobody did wear it, when others are doing it now, it makes me happy to see it. I am seeking for so many years for my friend Guenther Aurich, I saw him last time in Itlay with Lastra on their booth in Milano. Also Van Linden I was happy to see there. Van Linden passed away some years, R.I.P. dear Van. Guenther Aurich seems to be in Hamburg, GER I miss him too and possibly you do have any address or phone ? He had a devorce and went from near Osterode where he lived with his wife and sun to Hamburg, GER where he has a Lady/friend. I wanted to reach him before it is to late. Günther was Sales Mangager for PC in Osterode/am Harz GER but think for sure you know all that, I even ask a German TV station, but my important issue is not enough important for them. Gregory Gruenberg, wife I had contacted in Georgia,GA and condoled to her for my dear friend Gregory. I hate for going older when I just lose all my friends, this world is not any longer my world make me cry more often. I always was quiet a good organizer, but of this secrets of data info, it is almost impossible to find someone, "Datenschutz" is always the key word for lazy people to be helpful. A drama. Can you please can find any useful hints for to find Guenther´s address or any phone numbers All the German dealers exist no more more when printing business changed into computer and their associated- printers letter-size. I do think you stay in Japan on the more safer side. Trump was to weak in the beginning and even later o to fight Covid19 better as he did, but he had many other colleagues worldwide doing like him.
